¾ tbsp Ketchup
½ tbsp Mayonnaise
⅛ tbsp Sweet pickle relish- 🥄⅛ dash Salt
⅛ dash Black pepper
4 oz Ground beef
⅛ tsp, ground Oregano
⅛ tbsp Canola oil
1 slice (1 oz) Cheddar cheese
¼ medium whole Tomatoes
1 leaf outer Romaine lettuce
Directions
- 1
In a small bowl, stir together half of the ketchup, the mayonnaise, pickle relish, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
- 2
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, oregano, remaining ketchup, and a light pinch of salt and pepper. Gently mix just until evenly combined.
- 3
Form equal patties, about 4 oz each, pressing to an even thickness with a slight dimple in the center to prevent doming.
- 4
Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium to medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add the oil and heat until shimmery.
- 5
Cook the patties 4–6 minutes per side until the cheese will melt and the centers reach 160°F. Flip once, then top each patty with a slice of cheddar to melt.
- 6
To assemble, place a large outer lettuce leaf on each plate, add a cheeseburger patty, tomato slices, and a spoonful of sauce. Wrap the lettuce around the fillings and serve immediately.
